The Era of The DVD – An Insight

By admin | Jan 16, 2009

Renting a movie has long been a trend for many people who like to watch films in the confines of their home. Such movie rentals generally have a large collection of movies spread over different genres. Such movies can be found in the form of DVD-R’s or DVD recordable as they are more properly called.

DVD

These discs can store up to a huge amount of data as compared to their older versions where the storage capacity was okay but not quite high. The DVD-R’s can be used to store a maximum data of up to 4.50 GB’s as compared to a much lesser volume stored by its predecessor. Hence, it is the ideal medium for storing movies which normally consume a lot of data space when converted into the DVD format.

These discs have been in use for over a long time, probably since 1999. A large percentage of such discs have long been used to store humongous collections of pornographic films of the 80’s.

Thus, a lot of 80’s porn DVD’s that are found are in the DVD-R format. In this way, it makes it easier for the manufactures to provide full length high quality movies to the consumer and enable them to take the next step towards a pleasurable movie viewing experience!
